Our scholarly source was called "What American Women did." I enjoyed reading about the role of women in American society during the early nineteenth century. I thought it was interesting how women suffrage movements finally started to make big changes, such as women receiving the right to vote. This source was very descriptive which made it easier to understand. Overall, I really like this source, because it had easy language, was descriptive, and compared this time period to others, so the readers could see the changes throughout time.
Our scholarly source is a book called What American Women did. Like our last scholarly source, this source was easy to understand, but explained the roles of women during the 1920s. It also talked about women in the education system, economy, society, and politics. This time period was very interesting to talk about especially because we see how women become more carefree. This source was easy to find.
